Kenneth Johnson's career in television has spanned nearly
40 years. His earliest credits as a writer/director
are The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic > Woman (which he also created). Eventually he would go on
to create "V", the 1983
miniseries that scored phenomenonal ratings, gave birth to a sequel miniseries and a weekly version, and will soon rise again
on NBC as a three-hour
movie called "V": The Second Generation. He also took the feature film Alien Nation and developed it
into a television series that spanned 22 episodes and five TV movies. This summer, however, Johnson has gotten
the most attention for
having developed Marvel Comics' Incredible Hulk into a late '70s/early '80s series that starred Bill
Bixby as Dr. Banner and Lou Ferrigno as the Hulk. This interview excerpt looks back at that show.
